I listen to a lot of podcasts.
Like, a weirdly large number of podcasts. A big part of my day job involves superfun excel sheets. You think I’m kidding, but I absolutely am not. I get hot for spreadsheets. They are one of my purest joys in life. I’m not cool.
While I’m doing my spreadsheet work, I like to listen to podcasts because it blocks out the office noise and distractions, so I can focus.
I’m not great at remembering to use trackers though.
And when you have 30 or 40 podcasts in your library at any given time, there’s no way to just REMEMBER what episode you’re on. I’m not a superhero (and if I was, “remembering podcast episode numbers would be the lamest superpower ever).
In previous years, I’ve made a gridded chart and check marked off podcast episodes as I listened to them. I usually forget to update my tracker after about the 7th episode of the year. It’s not an impressive track record. This year, I’m doing things a little different. I’ve included podcasts in my Stories tracking book.
Truth be told, my Stories tracker might be my favourite “planner”. It’s B6 TN dedicated to creating a decorative spread for each of the books, movies, TV Shows that I enjoy. My theory is that if I love flipping through my stories planner, maybe I’ll actually want to complete it. Read more books. Listen to more podcasts of people sharing their stories. Remember to turn the spreadsheets off and just… relax.
Earlier this week, I made a tracker for Planner Girl Chatter.
If you’re not listening…why? It’s a genuinely good show if, you know, you get excited about paper goods, time management, and stickers. Jamie and Colleen dish about everything from planner events to new planner releases and planner trends, plus they routinely have the planner famous on the show to discuss their hot takes on the planning community.
You can check it out on the Planner Girl Chatter website.
After I shared the tracker in some planner groups, I had a few people ask if this was a free printable or if I had made it myself. The answer is…both.
I made the papers myself. The shapes are made from clip art I already had a commercial license for. I hand-lettered the words “planner girl”, outlined chatter, randomly outlined some of the plus signs and added some detailing to the microphone. It’s SUPER EASY to make a printed layout look personalized with nothing more than a black pen. Because I like nice things…but I’m also lazy sometimes. As I listen to each episode, I’ll write the episode number in one of the hearts. (See Jamie? I need those episode numbers. I need ’em real bad.)
Since I still had the file open and since Jamie and Colleen were gracious enough to give their permission, I’m sharing the printable file in a few sizes. Feel free to grab the one you need, print it and add it to your own planner.
And follow me on Insta because I’m like Tinkerbell
